Hi folks! Hope everyone had a great weekend. It's our last week of school here in Vicenza (our kids go to an American school) and like most mommas, I am looking forward to a BREAK!
What I am not looking forward to; however, is the constant whining and complaints of "I'm BORED.... (said in a very whiny voice...) that seems to come at about day 5 of summer vacation around here.
Last summer, I signed up for one of those home delivery kits that provide lots of ideas of things to do over the summer. There are lots and lots of delivery kits out there, but I picked
Kiwi Crate because their kits seemed to best fit the interest of my kids. I liked the idea that it would all arrive at my door (or in our case, at our post office box on the military post), complete with all the supplies and directions we would need to put together whatever activities were created for that month. The kit arrives in a box about the size of a tennis-shoe box and my kiddos always look forward to it. I've actually been stockpiling them for the past few months so that we will have one a week, instead of one a month just in case the first few weeks of summer are so BORING....
